Community Vision & Covenant
We
are a small community of people who have received Jesus Christ as our savior and
are seeking to have him become the Lord of our lives. We are in agreement with
the basic, core beliefs of historic Christianity and in response to those
beliefs seek to express our community relationships in the following ways:
WE GATHER TO ... EXPRESS WORSHIP
 |
We seek to
express an inner stirring in our hearts to treasure God above all treasures
of the world. |

We seek to
express right affections in the heart toward God, rooted in right thoughts
in the head about God, becoming visible in right actions of the body
reflecting God. |
|
We seek to
glorify God by being fully satisfied in him, and being fully satisfied
in him we seek to glorify him all the more. |
|
We seek to
offer our whole selves to God in worship including our time,
our
giftedness, our passions, our possessions, and our finances |
WE GATHER TO ... OFFER PRAYER
|
We seek to
express that all people and things move, change, and grow by the power of
God. |
|
We seek to
participate in the release of God’s will in this world |
WE GATHER TO
...
EXPERIENCE COMMUNITY
|
We
seek to encourage one another by rejoicing with those who rejoice
and mourning with those who mourn. |
|
We
seek to encourage and listen to those who lead us. |
|
We
seek to experience the signs of God’s grace through baptism, public
affirmation of faith, and the Lord’s Supper - doing so in community
with others and therefore professing that we depend on God and one
another. |

We
seek to live out God’s vision of a global community by uniting with
followers of Jesus Christ from other churches, denominations,
cities, states, countries, ethnicities, cultures, economic
positions, and lifestyles. |
WE GATHER TO ... LISTEN TO
GOD'S WORD: THE BIBLE
|
We seek to
expose our heart to God's written word, the Bible because it is alive and
relevant to our lives through the presence through Jesus Christ, the Living
Word. |
WE SCATTER TO ... PROCLAIM
GOD'S RULE OVER ALL PEOPLE, GROUPS, SYSTEMS AND STRUCTURES

We seek to 'live'
Christ in our circles of influence |
|
We seek through
Christ's power to see people and every arena of life transformed
to their God-given, intended purposes. |
|
We seek to mature in
our Christ given purposes as people by participating in
Discipleship Mission Communities (DMC's). |
